28 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along - 28 Weeks 
Hello 3rd Trimester!

Size of Baby - Eggplant (about 14.5 inches and 2.5 pounds)

Development - He can now blink, cough, hiccup and take breaths.  He can also dream.  

Weight Gain - I gained 2 pounds in the past 2 weeks, so that makes a total of +8 pounds from my start weight.  However, I measured my belly this week and have grown about 10 inches!

Maternity Clothes -   I'm mostly wearing maternity clothes now.  My favorite thing is still tights/leggings with tunics.

Sleep -  I haven't been sleeping as well, but still get enough rest. 

Cravings - Mostly Sweet! 

Miss Anything - Not really, besides having more energy.

Gender - It's a boy!  Ellis Jack!

Symptoms - I've had it a little rough the past couple of weeks.  I ended up getting sick from my iron pill.  They put me on a different one and haven't had any problems yet.  I've had really bad allergies and ended up coughing so hard last Friday, that I pulled a muscle in my side by my ribs.  It was so painful, that I could barely move.  I went to the doctor and unfortunately there wasn't much I could do.  So, for the past five days, all I've done is lay in bed, take Tylenol and alternate ice and heat on my side.  One night I was either having muscle spasms or Braxton hicks, but I was crying for a few hours because it hurt so bad.  Thankfully, I'm starting to feel some relief!  I'm just glad it happened over spring break so I didn't have too miss but one day of work.  

Favorite thing - Feeling & seeing baby boy move and kick!

26 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along - 26 Weeks 

Size of Baby - Head of Lettuce (about 14 inches and 1.75 pounds)

Development - His eyes are forming and he has eyelashes.  He's taking breaths of amniotic fluid. 

Weight Gain - I gained 3 pounds in the past 2 weeks, so that makes a total of +6 pounds from my start weight.  

Maternity Clothes -   I'm mostly wearing maternity clothes now.  My favorite thing is still tights/leggings with tunics.

Sleep -  I'm still sleeping pretty well, but I've been really tired lately.  

Cravings - Sweet & Salty, but my favorite thing right now is HEB's chocolate mootopia milk.  I drink a glass every morning!

Miss Anything - Not really, besides having more energy.

Gender - It's a boy!  Ellis Jack!

Symptoms - I'm feeling pretty good now, but I'm weak and tired by the end of the day.  I still have sciatic nerve pain almost every day and occasional leg cramps. 

Favorite thing - Feeling & seeing baby boy move and kick!

Recent Doctor appointment - I passed my glucose test!  I was glad, but I did find out I'm a little anemic.  The doctor acted like it wasn't a huge deal, but prescribed me iron pills to start taking.  

They will test my levels again in a month or two.  I heard Ellis' heart beat again and also him kicking!    They started measuring my belly and said I was right where I needed to be.  

24 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along - 24 Weeks (I'm late on posting again, so I'm actually 25 weeks today)

Size of Baby - Cantaloupe (about 11.5 inches and 1.5 pounds)

Development - His skin is becoming more opaque and has a pink tint.

Weight Gain - I gained 1 pound in the past 2 weeks, so that makes a total of +3 pounds from my start weight.  I haven't gained much, I guess because I lost in the beginning.  The doctor doesn't seemed worried about it and baby is healthy and I know it will pack on in the last trimester. 

Maternity Clothes -   I'm mostly wearing maternity clothes now.  My favorite thing is still tights/leggings with tunics.

Sleep -  I'm still sleeping pretty well, but I've been really tired lately.  

Cravings - I have been wanting Mexican food a lot, but I also love chocolate and sugary treats.

Miss Anything - Not really, besides having more energy.

Gender - It's a boy!  Ellis Jack!

Symptoms - I'm feeling pretty good now, but have been pretty exhausted lately.  I also had a cold, which didn't help.  I'm also having sciatic nerve pain and occasional leg cramps. 

Favorite thing - Feeling & seeing baby boy move and kick!  It kind of freaks Karson out!
Not looking forward to - My glucose test tomorrow!  I hope I pass and do well!
