Spring Break!

This week we had off for spring break.  Well, when I say "we", I mean Midway ISD and UTA.  Karson had to stay here and work.  I was gone for a couple days with family, but spent the rest of the week here and did stuff during the day, so I could still see him at night.  This is how I spent my week:

I went with my family to see my Nanna, Aunt and Uncle, and all my cousins for a couple of days.  It is great spending time with my extended family, I love them all so much.  We also celebrated my Mom and Aunt's birthdays.

On Wednesday, I went with a friend and her little girl to Homestead Heritage.  It was neat and the food was really good, especially the home made ice cream.  We had a good time.

On Thursday, I went with my mom and sis to Round Rock.  We had lunch at Macaroni Grill and then did some shopping at the outlet mall there.  I love hanging out with them and now that Adrienne and I are older and don't live together, we actually get along pretty well.  I love my mom and sis!

On Friday, I went to lunch with a friend and we did a little shopping here in Waco.  It was great to actually spend time with her outside of work and school.  We hardy ever get to do that now since we work and go to school together.

It was great getting to spend time with friends and family this week and not think about the everyday stressers from work and school.  I am now about to spend the rest of my weekend with my wonderful hubby.  I am truly blessed!

I leave you with some pictures from Homestead Heritage.  Somehow, I forgot to take pictures of anything else this week.  Enjoy your weekend!

Sic 'em Bears!

Days 46-55 of 365

Today we had the great privilege of getting to meet some of the lady bears.  Our P.E. teacher worked really hard to get them to come celebrate with our school for raising $10,000 for Jump Rope for Heart.  They shot some baskets, did some tricks, dunked with our teachers, talked to the kiddos, and let us take A LOT of pictures.  They were all so nice and great with the kids too.  You should have seen the kids' faces; they were SO excited!  It was a great day!

Excited for their arrival!
Showing their BAYLOR spirit!
