34 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How far along - 34 Weeks
Size of Baby - Butternut Squash (about 17.5 inches and 4.5 pounds)
Development - His brain is forming trillions of connections.  His central nervous system and lungs are maturing.
Weight Gain - I guess made up from not gaining much before, because in the last two weeks I've gained about 3 pounds. That puts me at a total of +12 pounds from my start weight.
Maternity Clothes -   I'm mostly wearing maternity clothes, but can still make just a few of my regular clothes work.  I must admit, maternity clothes are pretty comfortable.
Sleep -  I haven't been sleeping as well, but try to rest in the evenings and on the weekends.  My allergies are so bad and I've had a bad cough, so lately I've been waking up 5-6 times a night.  I'm pretty tired and still get restless at night.
Cravings - Mainly Mexican food and sweets!
Miss Anything - Having energy, being able to breathe normal and being able to walk around and not feel so tired and sore.
Gender - It's a boy!  Ellis Jack!
Symptoms - Occasional leg cramps, tightness and pressure in belly, and his body is pushing up into my ribs and lungs making it difficult to eat and breathe.  I am also starting to swell in my ankles and my blood pressure is going up.  It's still in the normal range,
but I'm trying to watch it.
Favorite thing - Feeling & seeing baby boy move and kick!
Recent doctor's appointment - I went last Friday, at 33 weeks and 4 days, and measured 34 1/2 weeks.
As I already mentioned, my blood pressure was up.  Before I was pregnant and the past few months, it has always been low, around 112/70.  Now it is around 130/80, but she said that was still normal range, but to watch it.  The doctor said everything else looked good and he's around 4 pounds.  I go again next week and then I start going every week!

We're so excited for your arrival sweet Ellis, but mommy and daddy still have a lot to do before you are here.  So, wait a few more weeks baby boy.
