Gaylord Texan (Day 1)

We went to Gaylord Texan in Grapevine this weekend with my family.  We had such a great time and truly enjoyed getting to spend time with them.  It was so nice there because almost everything was in the atrium, which was air conditioned, but felt like you were outside.

Some of the views of the hotel

We spent the afternoon walking around the atrium and checking out the hotel

My mom rented this scooter for my Dad, and he LOVED it!  He took off and explored everything and we couldn't keep up with him.  It was great to see him so happy and free.

Then we got ready and went to dinner at Salt Grass Steak house.  It was really yummy!  I don't know why, but I totally forgot to take pictures of the food.  I always do.

After dinner we went back to hotel and did some more exploring and took a lot of pictures.  I like taking pictures and I want to take as many as I can so I can remember every moment.

Fun with the fam!

This weekend my sister and I went to see our Nanna, aunt, and cousins.  We spent some time playing in the pool with our little cousins and then going out to eat with my Nanna, playing skip bo, and then watching a movie.  I love getting to spend quality time with my family.

Thank heaven for little BOYS!

I grew up in a home with all girls, except for my dad.  So I didn't know a lot about little boys until my mom started keeping kids in their house.  I helped her out a lot before I was married and fell in LOVE with those sweet BOYS.

This summer we went on a couple play dates with two of the sweet boys my mom used to keep.  They have since moved on to big school, but we still like to stay in touch.  We are actually really close to all the kids and their families that my mom keeps.  I love that and I know my parents will be awesome grandparents one day.

My mom kept this sweet boy from the time he was only 2 months old until he went to kindergarten. We had a fun day going to the jump place and then eating at Casa Ole.

My mom kept this sweet boy from the time he was 2 until he went to preschool.  We had fun going to Poppa Rollo's and eating pizza and playing games.

Then last Friday we went to see some of our good family friends.  My friend Barbara and her 2 BOYS and her mom.  We used to live next to each other when I was really little and Adrienne was a baby.  We had a great time recalling memories and catching up on the present.  Her boys are so cute!
